On July 1, 2014, the Departments of Biochemistry & Cell Biology (BCB) and Ecology & Evolutionary Biology (EEB) merged to create a new department. BioSciences at Rice unites over 30 faculty members engaged in cutting-edge research and outstanding teaching in a wide range of disciplines in the life sciences. The vibrant and diverse BioSciences faculty provides a rich variety of research opportunities and distinct graduate and undergraduate degree programs in Biochemistry & Cell Biology and Ecology & Evolutionary Biology.
